'Dead' girl comes to life

Three-year-old Preethi,  daughter of Tulasi Jambagi,  was suffering from dengue from the past four days and was under treatment at the intensive care unit of KLE hospital in Belgaum.

She was shifted to the ward on Friday morning, when the doctors lost hopes of her survival. Jambagi got her discharged and took her to their village. On the way, she had convulsions and fainted. The family thought she had died.

On reaching Vasana they took her to the cremation ground and prepared for the last rites. Just then she opened her eyes and immediately the family informed Arogya Kavacha staff, who arrived and took her to KIMS, Hubli. She is unconscious and there are possibilities of her recovering, Arogya Kavacha staff Pandu Korthi and Mahesh said.
