Easing confusion of passengers

Last Updated 08 May 2012, 17:40 IST

Officers of KSRTC have finally taken steps to solve the problem of double sinages on buses.

Passengers have been struggling to make out whether a bus from Chikkaballapur travels to Devanahalli as given on the sinage or to Gauribidanur as indicated near the door.

The State Transport officers have retained the route sinage, indicating Devanahalli, and deleted the name of Gauribidanur near the door.

“The buses are given the nameboards according to the routes.

The problem of double boards arises when we are forced to use the buses for other routes,” explained a KSRTC officer and promised, “We will try to alleviate the problems of passengers.”

Deccan Herald had carried a report on April 28 on the destination sinages on the KSRTC buses causing confusion among passengers.
