Airport Metro line starts tourist buses

With Reliance Infra, the concessionaire of the Airport Line, tying up with inter-state private bus operators, the Delhi Airport Metro Express commuters can now board these buses to reach tourist destinations. 

The air-conditioned semi-sleeper Volvo and Mercedes buses can be boarded from Shivaji Stadium station to reach tourist destinations in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. 

“Reliance Metro is continuously working towards integrating various tourism related services for the benefit of tourists and commuters. After setting up Delhi Tourism kiosks at our New Delhi station, we have now started inter-state bus services for Jaipur and Ahmedabad that will facilitate comfortable and safe journey to these destinations,” a Reliance Infra spokesman said.

The bus service will start from Shivaji Stadium station at 6 am in the morning and continue till midnight. The buses for Jaipur and Ahmedabad will run at an interval of half an hour. Commuters will pay Rs 500 and Rs 1,600 for Jaipur and Ahmedabad respectively.

The spokesperson said Airport Metro aims to develop Shivaji Stadium station as a connecting hub for travellers.
