Doctors firm on mass resignation

 
Speaking at a press meet, he said, the association had set a deadline of Sept 28 for the government to fulfil their demands, failing which the doctors would submit mass resignation.

He also informed that the previous health minister had promised to fulfil their demands within three months but it was not yet implemented. The demands include pay hike, confirming the services of casual doctors, time bound promotions.There are 6,227 medical officer posts sanctioned for the State and only 4,119 posts are filled. This has resulted in too much of work pressure, he explained.
