Curtains come down tomorrow on Adima summer camp

The valedictory of the annual Chukkimela camp, at Teralli of Antaragange Hills on the outskirts of the city, organised by Adima Cultural Organisation will be held on May 13.

As a prelude to the grand finale, four plays will be staged from May 12 onwards, said founder of Adima Living School, Kotiganahalli Ramaiah.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, Ramaiah said that the free summer camp attracted about 160 children from Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Mysore and Bangalore.

The children were taught theatre, drawing, clay modelling, environment awareness, observation and expression and dollu kunitha.

The four plays to be staged include: “Ogatina Rani” by Dharwad Rangayana directed by Sunanda. The participants of the Chukkimela summer camp will stage, “Halu neeru” directed by Malavalli Madhukar. Both these plays will be staged on May 12.

On May 13 the children with stage, “Surya Chandra” directed by K R Disha. A troupe from Mysore will stage, “Ratnapakshi” directed by Mandya Ramesh.
