JOIN USAs many as 3,772 students were placed in different companies through Alva’s Pragathi 2012, a placement drive which was organised on Saturday and Sunday at Alva’s campus in Moodbidri.
As many as 16,457 students had taken part in the placement drive. Several applicants have been selected for various levels during the selection process and will get employment in the future.
A large number of students from nursing field had taken part in the drive. The students from engineering, MBA, post graduation, degree, diploma, ITI, JOC had also taken part in the drive.
Jobs on offer were in IT, retail industries, media, nursing, NGOs, banking, hospitality, BPO, KPO, education, insurance and automobile sectors. Aerial India Pvt Ltd, IBM India Pvt Ltd, Honeywell, Astricks Technologies Ltd, Wipro, TVS Motors, ITC, Indian army, UAE Exchange and others had taken part in the mela.
Recruitment coordinator of Winman Software Prasanna said that students from across the state had taken part in the recruitment drive. “We could recruit candidates as per our expectation.”
