CPM stages stir against State Govt

The BJP government in the State which has been involved in various scandals during the last four years should be dismissed, urged CPI (M) District Secretary B Madhava.

He was addressing the protestors at the protest staged by the CPI (M) district Unit as part of the CPI (M)’s state-wide agitation against the BJP government, in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Monday.

He said the ministers in the BJP government who are facing one or the other charges should resign immediately and face a thorough inquiry.

“Despite facing several charges, former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa has not been ousted from the party, which reflects the lack of      accountability of the BJP. Yeddyurappa along with ministers like R Ashok should be expelled from the party,” he said.

Calling the State government inactive, Madhava said as the Chief Minister has 20 Portfolios, the development work in the State has come to a standstill.

The situation has turned worse than what it appears as the concept of democracy has failed in the State. The State government has even failed to appoint Lokayukta and Upa Lokayukta, which in turn has helped the government to stay away from the inquiries, said the leader.
