Kallappa Mallappa Sajjanara (27) of Ron, Gadag district, was running on the track and collapsed and died on the spot. He was taking part in the 400 meters test. After clearing 150 meters he collapsed. He was provided medical assistance immediately. He was rushed to the civil hospital and before the doctors there could attempt to revive him, he died. This is the third such case in the State in recent times when aspirant police candidates have died during the endurance test.
