Sringeri, Koppa taluk students shine in SSLC

Sringeri taluk with 95 per cent and Koppa taluk with 93 per cent have bagged first and second place in the district in SSLC examination.

Kadur taluk has bagged third place in the district with 90 per cent. Chikmagalur has scored 88 per cent, NR Pura has scored 83.8 per cent, Mudigere has scored 83.5 per cent, Birur has scored 80 per cent and Tarikere has scored 79 per cent.

In Chikmagalur taluk there are 80 schools, of which 18 have bagged 100 per cent result. Ten are unaided schools, six are government schools and two are aided schools which have bagged cent per cent results. The taluk has retained its fourth position even this year. Basavanahalli Vidyashree High School in the city has bagged zero percentage with all the students failing in the examination.

As many as 16 schools in Kadur taluk and 14 in Koppa taluk have bagged cent per cent result. A total of 3,880 students appeared for the examination of which 3,392 have passed. St Mary’s student Tripthi (617), Model School students Dhanush (615), Haridas Pai from TMS School (615), Adithya from St Mary’s School (614), Sharath from St Joseph’s Boys’ School (611), Jagath Kumar from Poorna Prajna School (610) and Yamini Bhat (610) from the same school have passed with top scores in the district.Sindigere Morarji Desai Residential School has scored cent per cent result while Bikanahalli Residential School has scored 98 per cent.
