In the backdrop of the drought in the district, all loans of farmers should be cancelled and farmers should be provided better facilities, demanded activists of the Raitha Sangha and Hasiru Sene.
The activists staged a protest outside the office at Robertsonpet on Saturday and submitted a memorandum to the tahsildar, asking for supply of sowing seeds and manure, farmers’ shandies in all taluks and supply of cattle feed and water at hobli centres.
Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha and Hasiru Sene district convenor K Srinivas Gowda, Ankatattahalli C Krishnappa, G G Vishwanath, Kooteri Nagaraj, Ramu, Krishnappa Harikumar, Munegowda, M Krishnappa, Rajanna, Govindappa and others participated in the protest.
