Sumalatha is the girl whosehard perseverance made her to excel, studying in Kannada medium and dreams to be an engineer.
Sumalatha’s father Manjunath is a driver by profession and mother is a housewife. Their native is Terakanambi village and Sumalatha was studying in Linganapura staying in her grandmother’s place.
Student of JSS high school in Arkalwadi village, she is a role model for many students of the village. She has scored 123 in Kannada, 95 in English, 94 in Hindi, 98 in Maths, 77 in Science and 96 in Social Science totalling 583. She had not taken any special tuitions.
Her achievement has brought not only laurels for her school but also made her humble parents and teachers proud. A student from a border area securing second place in the district has become the talk of the town.
