Centre lacks will power to contain terrorism, naxal activities: CM

Change can be brought by BJP alone, says DVS at BJP Yuva Morcha meet.

Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said that the UPA government lacks will power to contain terrorism and naxal activities, which is on the rise in the country.

Addressing the mammoth gathering, at the BJP Yuva Morcha convention organised by the State BJP Yuva Morcha here at Nehru Maidan on Tuesday, he said the issue of terrorism and Maoists are used as vote bank politics to woo the voters.

Afzal Guru and Kasab who had taken up terrorism activities against the country are still treated well from the money of the tax payers. The youth of the country should get ready to fight against naxalism, terrorism and corruption.

The youth of the country are expecting a change in the political scenario. The change can be brought by the BJP alone. “As the country is full of youth, if we show lethargic attitude, we will lose our youth power.

The youth should take up the work on building the nation.”

The BJP workers have two responsibilities of strengthening the party and reaching out the programmes of the government to the last person in the society. The budgetary allocation should not be wasted.

No place for corrupt

State BJP President K S Eshwarappa said that there is no place for corrupt politicians in the country. The youth should see that no corrupt politicians come to power in the state and at the centre. “We have to find models like Atal Behari Vajpayee and face the next election. Love jihad, terrorism, naxalims, are haunting the country.

The UPA government is keeping quiet over the issue of Love Jihad issue. What Rahul Gandhi would have done, if his sister was the victim of Love Jihad?’ he asked. When the state government passed Anti-Cow Slaughter Bill in the Assembly, Governor who acted as the agent of the Congress sent the Bill to the President for her consent. He ridiculed the UPA government for its inaction with regard to religious conversion of the poor using the money power.

National BJP Yuva Morcha President Aurag Singh Thakur urged the participants to take a pledge to fight against terrorism, Naxalism, corruption, inflation, unemployment in the country.

He said therise in the prices of essential commodities and several scams are the achievement of the UPA government. About 2.5 lakh farmers have committed suicide after the UPA government came to power. People are dying of poverty.

The NDA rule in the country had given 62 million employment to the unemployed.

However, the UPA government has given only 2 million employment so far. Writer Chakravarthi Soolibele alleged that Maoists who are a threat to the internal security of the country are funded by the Chinese. Sardar Vallabai Patel, Lal Bahadur Shastri and Atal Behari Vajpayee should be the role models for the youth.

Ministers R Ashok, Narayanaswamy, Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri, Jagadeesh Shettar, Ramdas, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and others were present.

Yuva Disha expo

Yuva Disha—an exhibition on various issues related to youth was centre of attraction at the Nehru Maidan. The exhibition was divided into eight galleries. The first gallery has frames related to teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

This is followed by the gallery on work of Yuva Morcha’s Karnataka unit, gallery displaying photographs of young sportspersons and other young achievers. There were expo on defence, terrorism, naxalism and religious conversion. There were also photos of stamps on national leaders and so on.
