Get ready for some action

super moves From ‘The Medallion’.From kick boxing to kung fu, Star Movies will bring to your home screen an array of the best and biggest martial arts titles! Tune in to ‘Kung Fu Fighting Festival’, this June, every night at 11 pm. From the youth to the middle-aged, kung fu has never failed to inspire and exhilarate its audiences.

The essence of this artistic fighting form has left an everlasting impact on us so much so that decade after decade, we’ve seen veteran film-makers deriving great inspiration from it, thereby producing some of the greatest blockbusters for this unique genre.

So get set for some of the finest martial arts movies like ‘Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon’ starring Yun-Fat Chow; ‘Kung Fu Hustle’ starring Stephen Chow; ‘The Medallion’ and ‘Half a Loaf of Kung Fu’ starring Jackie Chan, ‘Raging Phoenix’ starring David Bueno and ‘Game of Death’ starring Bruce Lee.

On June 1, watch ‘The Medallion’ as part of this festival. The movie revolves around a Hong Kong detective, who suffers a fatal accident involving a mysterious medallion and is transformed into an immortal warrior with superhuman powers.

Mysterious duo

Star World presents ‘Castle’ on June 1 at 10 pm. ‘Castle’ follows novelist Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) who has killed off his main character in his book.

Soon after, he is roped in by the NYPD to help solve a murder based on one of his famous novels.Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) plays a cop who initially disapproves of Castle accompanying her to a crime scene.

 But being a fan of Castle’s book herself, she cannot help but warm up to him
and recognises Castle as a useful resource in solving crimes.

Worst houseguest

HBO presents ‘Hop’ on June 1 at 9 pm. The movie features the voices of Russell Brand, James Marsden and Elizabeth Perkins.

Employing state-of-the-art visual effects, Hop tells the comic tale of Fred, an out-of-work slacker who accidentally injures the Easter Bunny (voiced by Russell Brand) and must take him in as he recovers.

As Fred struggles with the world’s worst houseguest, both will learn what it takes to finally grow up.


Fourth judge 

Catch the sixth season of ‘Indian Idol’ on June 1 at 8.30 pm. The show will be judged by Sunidhi Chauhan, Anu Malik, Salim Merchant and the legendary Asha Bhosle. “I am very happy to be part of this show. I really like this show as it provides platform for budding singers. It is a very big show,” said Asha.

Though Asha has graced various TV reality shows as a celebrity judge, for ‘Indian Idol 6’ she will be a ‘super judge’.

The veteran singer will not be part of the audition rounds and will join the three judges from the gala rounds.


Star Plus presents Ruk Jana Nahi on June 1 at 6.30 pm. Yogi and Guddu are surprised at Sanchi’s behaviour. At night, Sanchi and Mehak enter the campus covering their faces with a dupatta. But Abhi catches them red-handed and asks them what they are up to.

Mehak tells him that they have come to finish their computer assignment. Next day, Indu enters the campus with his gang and sees a bunch of students gathered near the notice board.

A notice has been put up stating that all students have to gather in the common room at 11 am.

Indu goes to the common room with his gang. He is shocked to see the conversation between him and Sanchi being played on a projector in front of everybody. In the end, Indu goes up to the terrace with his gang and is extremely angry.
