The residents of Vinobha Nagar have decided to act against the anti-social elements in the area.

They submitted a memorandum to Election Tahsildar Ushadevi on Thursday, to be submitted to Deputy Commissioner, to take action against the four miscreants who allegedly tried to molest a girl and were disturbing peace.

The residents said that culprits Raghavendra, Ashok, Gajendra and Arun barged into a house in the area and tried to molest the girl who was alone. They even attacked the girl who was injured in the incident and is recuperating in a hospital.
The gang members in an inebriated state, randomly attacked people and were also engaged in unnecessary brawl. The gang had attacked Ravikumar and verbally abused him.
They also drove the two-wheeler in high speed creating terror among the pedestrians and residents.

Though many complaints had been lodged against the culprits, police have not taken any action, residents said. The gang members also hire goons from other places and threaten the residents opposing them. The authorities concerned should immediately take action against them, they added.

Residents Doreswamy, Kuppamma, Muniswamy, Balu, Dayananda, Swaminathan, Rosamma, Anbugan, Sudha, Shashikala, Lakshmi, Jayamary, Mary, Kaveri and others submitted the memorandum.
