JOIN USTeachers will be recruited soon, says Kageri
Minister for Primary Education Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri said that the government is committed for the development of education sector. All the measures will be taken to recruit the teachers in the state to fill the vacant posts.
Speaking to presspersons during his campaign for South-West Graduates’ and Teachers’ constituency candidates, he said there is a shortage of 3,400 teachers to teach in high schools. The department has received 2.25 lakh applications so far. To fill 1,700 lecturers’ posts in PU Colleges, as many as 95,000 applications have been received.
He said to allow the students to compete in the All India entrance examination, CBSE syllabus will be introduced from first PUC itself. In the backdrop of CBSE syllabus, teachers are trained at Chitradurga.
The Minister said that the government has made all preparations to implement RTE Act from this academic year. The Act aims at free and compulsory education to children between the age group of six to 14.
He said that the BJP candidates from South West Graduates’ and Teachers’ Constituency will win the election. Both D H Shankaramurthy and Capt Ganesh have strove hard in the field of education. They have played a pivotal role in opening the new colleges in the district and solving the problems related to disparity in wages.
MLA C T Ravi said those who hold respect in the society should be elected to Legislative Council. MLA M P Appacchu Ranjan, state BJP working Committee member Sunil Subramani and others were present.
