The BJP has decided to a launch a nation-wide jail bharo agitation on June 22 against rise in prices of essential commodities.
The move is aimed at urging the government to roll back petrol prices.
Speaking at the party’s campaign meeting for the June 10 election to the State legislative council from the North-East Graduates constituency here on Monday, BJP national general secretary Ananth Kumar said that the party would launch protests from June 7 to 21 to bring pressure on the Union government to control inflation before the monsoon session of parliament.
