The Judge sentenced an employee of Bangalore North taluk office for one year rigorous imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 in a bribery case under Prevention of Corruption Act.
The accused Munisiddappa, Shiristedar, was trapped on March 10, 2006 while accepting Rs 5,000 bribe from H C Anand for transfer of khatha of the land purchased by him at Nagenahalli village in Doddaballapura taluk. In another case, the court sentenced a revenue inspector, Vijaypura hobli in Devanahalli taluk for simple imprisonment of six months and slapped a fine of Rs 500.
The accused, S M Vijaykumar, was trapped on August 1, 2002 while he was accepting Rs 4,000 from S Shamanna for changing of khatha of the land in Vijaypura.
