Garbage problem irks villagers

The dust bin near Hemmane Village road in Dundalli Gram Panchayat is overflowing with garbage for the last few days.

The birds and animals are scattering the wastes all over the road. However, the Panchayat elected representatives and officials are blind to the problems faced by the villagers, alleged the residents.

This is becoming serious health threat with monsoon having entered the state. If the representatives do not pay attention to this problem, this can be a breeding place for many diseases and fill the whole place with stink, when it starts raining.

"The representatives give lectures on maintaining cleanliness. However, when it comes to them they show negligent attitude. They have forgotten their duty," regretted the villagers.
