Yenepoya PU college opens

Students with lot of aspirations about their pre university education were eagerly waiting to be a part of the very first batch of Yenepoya PU College in Jeppinamogaru, Mangalore.

It was on the occassion of an induction programme organised for the first batch PU students of newly started Yenepoya PU College in Yenepoya School campus.

Principal of Government PU College, Vamadpadavu and president of South Canara PU College Principals Association Jagjeevan Bhandari in his inaugural speech, said that Pre University education plays a vital role in deciding the future of a student and the institutions in Mangalore are rendering thier yeomen service to the  educational field of the state.

’’To include English from sixth standard in Government Schools is a good development and it has been already implemented in 284 schools of Karnataka on experimental basis. But it is unfortunate that some organisations are opposing it,” he added.

Managing Director of ACE Creative Learning Pvt.Ltd (Bangalore) Dr G Shreedhar told students to set high goals, to do a lot of hard work and to have faith in thier teachers.

Yenepoya University Chancellor Y Abdulla Kunhi who presided over the function, said that Yenepoya PU College is a single point learning centre where the students will be trained for the board examinations as well as competitive exams like IIT, JEE, AIEEE, CET etc.

He adviced students to interact, improve and ignite a strong future by concentrating well
on the classroom curriculum.“ In this age of technological advancement, quality education is a stepping stone for success,” he added.
