Even as schools across the state have been attracting students by luring them with midday meals and other facilities, a school in Malavalli town has cancelled the admission of a student citing his abnormality — long tongue.
Mohammed Zakir, resident of Kote Idgah Mohalla in the town, had admitted his son Mohammed Hanan to LKG at Anita School.
He had even attended the school for a couple of days, after which the headmistress informed that his admission has been cancelled as the student is said to have a long tongue, which is said to be an abnormality.
Mohammed Zakir, had submitted a complaint with the block education officer in this regard, who directed the headmistress not to reject Hanan’s admission.
Town municipal ex-president Doddaiah was present.
