Khanna replaces Sinha at AITA helm; Raju is Jt Secretary

 Anil Khanna was unanimously elected the new President of the All India Tennis Association in its Annual General Body Meeting here on Saturday.  

Khanna, the incumbent Secretary General, replaces former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha who decided to step down as the President after a 12-year tenure. Sinha was named the Life President of the AITA, joining the External Affairs Minister SM Krishna.

Bharat Oza elected the Executive Vice-President and Secretary General while Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association Secretary, Sunder Raju, was selected to the post of Honourary Joint Secretary. Raktim Saikia will be the new treasurer.  

Office-bearers: President: Anil Khanna; Executive Vice-President and Hon. Secretary General: Bharat Oza; Hon Joint Secretary: CS Sunder Raju; Hon. Treasurer: Raktim Saikia.

Vice-Presidents: Chintan Parikh, Deepender Hooda, Dalbir Singh, Jawahar Sircar, Karti P Chidambaram, MA Alagappan, Narendra Kumar, Pratyush Sinha, Mrs. Praveen Mahajan and Rajan Kashyap.

Executive Committee: Hironmoy Chatterjee (Bengal), AB Prasad (Bihar), Asit Tripathy (Orissa), TD Francis (Kerala), CBN Reddy (Tamil Nadu), Sharad Kannamwar (Maharashtra), Anil Dhupar (Madhya Pradesh), Suman Kapur (Haryana), CP Kacker (Uttar Pradesh), VK Batra (Delhi) and Ashok Kumar (Andhra Pradesh).
