JOIN USA 26-year-old housewife and mother of a seven month-old child committed suicide in HRBR Layout late on Wednesday night. The deceased has been identified as Shalini.
Shalini married Naveen, a computer serviceman, a year-and-a-half ago. Sources said that the marriage was troubled.
After giving birth to her baby, Shalini reportedly left for her mother’s place in HRBR layout, vowing never to return. She claimed to have problems with her in-laws and had reportedly asked her husband to find a new home for their family.
Things went out of control after a cellphone conversation between Shalini and her husband on Wednesday evening. Depressed that her husband wasn’t prepared to find them a new home, she resorted to suicide, police said.
The death went unnoticed during the night. It was discovered the following morning when her mother and other family members broke open her room door.
“She had hung herself from a ceiling fan,” police added. The baby was found on the bed, still asleep.
