27 killed in Uttar Pradesh accidents

Twenty-seven people were killed and 50 injured, in separate road accidents in different parts of Uttar Pradesh on Monday. The victims included women and children.

Fifteen people were killed and 24 injured when a bus carrying them dashed against a roadside tree near Amroha town in J P Nagar district on Monday morning. The bus was packed with devotees coming from Hardwar in Uttarakhand.

In another accident, seven people were killed and several others injured when the jeep in which they were traveling collided with a truck in Hathras in the state on Monday.  

Five of a wedding party were killed when a speeding train rammed into the jeep in which they were traveling at an unmanned level crossing in Sultanpur district on Monday.
