RPI activists ransack Cong office in Mumbai


The offices of the Mumbai Congress and the Republican Party of India (RPI) are located on the same premises opposite the famous Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in south Mumbai.

As the news of Athawale’s belongings having been thrown out of the government bungalow at 8 Lodhi Estate spread, it triggered a violent reaction.

The RPI activists began assembling on the premises. They stormed into the Congress office, threw  stones and shouted slogans.

The Mumbai police arrested 23 people in connection with the attack on the Congress office.
