Acting on the clues, the police traced  arrested the deceased Praveen’s wife Sara Shalini, Yadhunandan of Chikkamagalur, his friends Harish and Sharath, in relation to the case.

It is alleged that Sara Shalini was having an extra-marital affair with Yadhunandan. When Praveen came to know about the affair, he opposed the same and this turned into an hurdle for the affair to continue. Sara complained about it to Yadhunandan.

Irked, Yadunandan with the help of his friends Harish and Sharath hatched a plan and killed Praveen by hitting his mobike with the tipper and also paid them Rs 20,000 to make it look like an accident, SP said. Amit Singh also handed over a cash prize of Rs 10,000 to inspector Prakash Rathod and team, for solving the case in a short period.
