'Shaalegagi naavu neevu' launched in districts

 Launching the ‘shalegagi naavu neevu’ programme at government model higher primary school at Javagal on Thursday, Housing and district-in-charge minister V Somanna said community participation in programmes to provide quality education is essential.

Empowering destitutes and rural public by education is necessary. “Education department has planned several programmes for government schools to improve quality of education,” he added.

Inaugurating ‘makkala mane’ on the same occasion, the minister announced to sanction Rs five lakh from his constituency development fund to the school.

He later distributed teaching equipments and uniforms to children. MLA Rudreshgowda, public education department deputy director A T Chamaraj, municipal council member Lakshman, deputy commissioner Mohan Raj, superintendent of Police Amith Singh, ZP CEO Anjankumar, member Jayasheela, taluk panchayat member Lakshmiravishankar were
present.

The students of school welcomed minister Somanna by an attractive march past.
