DV inaugurates Rs 2.23 cr road projects

Laying foundation for projects of about Rs 2.23 crore under Prime Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojana at Ganadhalu village in Chikmagalur on Saturday, he said that if the roads in rural area are developed it will be easier for farmers to bring their products to the market. Ganadalu-K M Road completion will take about 9 months, he informed.

“State government has been paying more attention towards development of rural area and developmental works will be planned by holding special sessions in this regard. The life of rural people must be as good as the urban population,” he said and added that government is committed towards rural development. He also laid foundation for the Padamane-K M Road on the occasion.

Six road works will be taken up under Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana this year. Works of Ganadhal, Sadarahalli, Lakkumanahalli, Kyathanabeedu road will be started in 15 days, said MLA C T Ravi. Zilla Panchayat Member Venkatesh, CDA President Ranganath, Taluk Panchayat  Member Basavaraj, Gram Panchayat President Shivamma among other dignitaries were present at the programme.
