Teacher latest victim of chain snatchers

The incident occurred at around noon when victim Vasundhara was returning home.
The miscreants followed her on a bike and the pillion rider snatched her chain when she approached Ayyappa Swamy temple, before fleeing. The area in and around the temple is desolate one and hence the chain snatchers succeeded in their attempt, said the police.

Man loses leg
In a gory accident that took place on Friday afternoon at the Bangalore East Railway station, a physically-challenged man who rushed to board a train fell on the platform and lost one of his legs.

According to a railway source,  the incident was a result of him slipping down due to waterlogging on Platform Two due to the rains. The man, who is in his thirties, had a slight disability on his leg and used to sell groceries outside the East station regularly.  As he rushed to board a Passenger train bound to Bangarpet around 3 pm he slipped and fell on the platform and one of his legs was chopped off. He is now undergoing treatment at Bowring hospital.

Driver arrested
Soladevanahalli police rescued a car driver of a private company from three abductors and arrested the accused, recently. Keshav, Ramesh and Venkatesh, all residents of Gayatrinagar, are the accused.
