City Municipal Council President P D Ponnappa appealed that Indians should not be taken away by the influence of western culture. Dasara Samiti Honourary President Sathish Pai delivered an introductory address. City Municipal Council  Vice President Latha Bangera, Dasara Samiti Working President S C Subramani, office bearers M B Devaiah, Robin Devaiah, Pradeep and Manjula were present. Various cultural programmes followed.
