Winter session in Belgaum: CM

Border issues and development projects will be discussed during the session, said Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa here on Sunday.

The topics that will come up for discussion include, among others, implementation of irrigation projects, development of border areas and rural connectivity.

The chief minister made it clear that there is no possibility of Cabinet reshuffle. Currently the government is focusing on conducting BBMP elections, he added.

It has been decided to give special powers to Lokayukta. As a preamble the chief justice has been requested to establish a special court to inquire into Lokayukta cases, Yeddyurappa said. The government has decided to set up task force at each taluk, to implement quality works. The government has spent Rs 3,500 crore on power. Now that the State has received good rains, power supply will not be a problem, he said.
