Rescued leopard released in forest

A leopard, which was seen hiding in the storehouse of a house in Someshwara was caught by forest officials and released to reserve forest on Sunday.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, Hebri Forest Division Deputy Range Officer S N Subrahmanya said that the leopard had entered the storehouse at around 9.30 am on Sunday. House owner Jagadish Bhat informed forest department and the officials caught the leopard with the help of public and was released in the forest unharmed.  Hebri Wildlife Division Range Officer Rohit was present.
