Heroine’, which is all set for a September 21 release, has got an A certificate from the Censor Board.

Since an A certificate has been given to ‘Heroine’, it will have not one, but three separate trailers. There will be three different trailers depending on the sort of audience it is being screened for — the first one, which is the one with an A certificate, will be launched and available online; the second one will be for the theatre and TV with the U/A certificate and the third will be for those above 12 years of age.

For the U/A trailer, cigarettes will be blurred, love-making scenes will be cut down and offensive words will either be beeped out or replaced.

The Censor Board thought the trailer was very bold and not appropriate for TV viewing.
Kareena Kapoor has shed all her inhibitions for the role and pushed the envelope when it comes to playing her character on screen.

So much so, that the actor, who hates smoking will also be seen smoking a cigarette and mouthing expletives.

Those nostalgic words of superstar
Mahesh Bhatt, one of the veteran directors of tinsel town, recalls some of his interactions with yesteryear superstars Raj Kapoor and Rajesh Khanna. “I remember being privy to a conversation at the Golden Jubilee of Do Raaste, in the early hours of a breaking dawn, at the ‘Sun n Sand Hotel’ in Juhu, Mumbai, where seniors like Anand Bakshi, Laxmikant and Raj Khosla sat down and drank and we menials attended to their needs, and played bartenders.

The greatest showman India has ever seen, Raj Kapoor, who had just had the debacle of Mera Naam Joker, was in a melancholy mood, and I overheard him wooing Rajesh Khanna to star in his forthcoming film, thereby averting his landslide into the abyss of oblivion. ‘Don’t punish me for my stardom sir please,’ Rajesh told Raj Kapoor. ‘The manner in which you are talking to me demeans me. I can’t have greats like you speaking to me like this. Order me and I will play the role of an extra in your film’,”
recalls  Mahesh.

Ash’s new film

If rumours are to be believed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will soon be seen in a Hollywood film, co-starring Billy Zane of ‘Titanic’ fame. A source says, “Ash has been approached by director Daniel Silva for his upcoming film that also stars Billy Zane, TV actress Sarah Khan and singer Lucky Ali.”

Aishwarya, however, did not respond to media request for confirmation. The new mom, who had taken a sabbatical from Bollywood after becoming pregnant with her first child, is said to be working hard to look fit for this project. Although she has drawn a lot of criticism because of her post-partum plumpness, she has been trying to shed the kilos in recent months.
