Actor Pooja Gandhi plans fight against atrocity on women

In the wake of increasing atrocity on women, Sandalwood actor turned politician Pooja Gandhi has her own plans to create awareness among women.

Addressing the gathering at the inauguration of a free health check-up camp organised by H D Kumaraswamy Fans Association here on Sunday, the actor who has joined Janata Dal (Secular) condemned the recent incident of moral policing in Mangalore where the activists of Hindu Jagarana Vedike have allegedly molested a women at a home stay.

“It’s shameless to note that women are deprived of a fearless life”, said Pooja Gandhi. She also announced to hold a women’s convention soon and take a suitable decision to combat attack on women.

MLC B Ramakrishna, MLA Kalpana Siddaraju and others were present.
