Activists to seek probe into tribal killings

A group of civil right activists will hold a demonstration at Jantar Mantar on Tuesday demanding that the Centre constitute a judicial inquiry to probe “killing of innocent tribals” during the recent encounter in Chattisgarh.

“We have also sought permission to meet UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and President Pranab Mukherjee because the situation is serious as innocent Adivasis have been massacred under the garb of shooting hardcore Maoists,” Revolutionary Democractic Front (RDF) Joint Secretary G N Saibaba, who is also an associate professor at a Delhi University college told reporters at a press conference here.
