Sriramulu flays natl parties for mean politics

‘Sankalp Yatra’ launched by BSR Congress leader Sriramulu at Karwar reached Hassan on Tuesday.

Sriramulu and his supporters who arrived in Hassan district after finishing a programme at Arsikere were given a warm reception at the dairy circle by the supporters.

Sriramulu was taken in a procession and garlanded Dr Ambedkar’s statue near the deputy commissioner’s office and also visited Hasanamba temple and offered prayers. Later, he also garlanded the Hemavathy statue and proceeded to Kalakshetra, where he addressed the people.

Speaking on the occasion Sriramulu said, though hundreds of taluks are reeling under drought in the state, two national parties are playing mean politics.

He also criticised the parties for not releasing funds to tackle drought in the state, and only speaking about the farmers’ problems and no steps have been taken to solve the issue. The farmers are struggling in the hands of middlemen, he lamented.

He assured that if their party comes to power in the state, it would bring about a system that has not been implemented in any state.

They would bring out a system where all the farmers’ produce are purchased by the government themselves.

The party has several projects in mind including free education to all, Rs 2,000 pension to unemployed degree holders, industries in all the districts to increase job opportunities, mass wedding, and a lot more, he assured.

Party women’s wing president actor Rakshitha, Gorur Salim, Chaluvahalli Shekarappa and others were present.
