Phoenix Technologies on expansion mode in India

To tap the opportunity the company also plans to double its workforce within next 6 months and to invest Rs 100 crore in India.

“Our India centre will play a prime role in our R&D initiatives both for local and global product development. India centre will focus on product development for mobile PCs,” Phoenix President &Chief Executive Officer Woodson Hobbs said.

The firm also announced the appointment of Kirthiga Reddy as the new Vice-President and General Manager for its India operations.

It also introduced HyperSpace, an operating system that can be used as a primary OS or as an OS alongside with Windows for mobile computers and FailSafe, a laptop anti-theft and data protection solution for PC OEMs and telecom carriers in India.
