Dangerous footpaths

Last Updated 19 August 2012, 18:59 IST

The traffic on the junction of S Mutt Road and Vani Vilas Road has multiplied enormously. The footpath attached to all the four sections of this junction, at least 50 ft length in each section, has not been laid properly.

Pedestrians find it impossible to use the footpath, particularly during monsoon. Jackfruit sellers have parked their carts here. The BBMP has dug trenches to plant saplings, six months ago and has left them open. Pedestrians often fall into the pits. The Palike needs to take immediate action.
