Navalgund legislator Shankar Patil Munnena Koppa who was appointed as one of the two political secretaries to Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has now been given the responsibility of parliamentary secretary to the chief minister.
Patil will assist the chief minister during the deliberations in the legislature. He took the oath of office from Shettar at a function in the Vidhana Soudha on Wednesday. Former minister Shivanagouda Naik will retain his post as political secretary to the chief minister.
Nominated MLC M D Lakshminarayan took oath from Legislative Council Chairperson D H Shankaramurthy on Wednesday.
