JOIN USB S Jayachandra, Bhyregowda and their father T V Gopalappa have taken possession of the he grama thana land in Jangamabasapura village with their political influence, money and muscle power and by creating fictitious documents. They have fenced the area obstructing access to public. Villagers have appealed to all the authorities in the order of hierarchy to take steps for clearing the encroachment, but to no avail. Ultimately, following a complaint, the secretary of Panchayat Raj Department has given clear direction to the Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer to clear the encroachment and construct a road in the said area, the villagers have said.
However, even after lapse of two months of the order, the CEO has not implement it and has thus become guilty of dereliction of duty, they have alleged.
