Posters appear against 'love jihad' in Kerala

The posters in Malayalam, found pasted in front of two women’s colleges here, said: “We warn Hindu girls not to fall prey to the love jihad campaign by fundamentalist outfits.”

The posters appeared amid local media reports that Hindu girls were being enticed to marry Muslims as part of an alleged conspiracy by radical Islamist groups to use them later for jihadi activities.

IGP (Intelligence) K Padmakumar said police had taken note of the posters and were trying to find out those behind them. “I cannot comment now whether such an outfit exists in Kerala before the probe is completed,” Padmakumar said.
