JOIN USTableaux, an integral part of Jamboo Savari on the last leg of Dasara festival, this year will portray the culture of 30 districts in the state.
Presiding over a meeting of the committee to select tableaux on Friday, deputy commissioner P S Vastrad said it has been planned to introduce the myriad culture and tradition of every districts during jamboo savari. The traditional arts, rural sports, agriculture, architecture, cattle, harmony, family system, native doctors, style of dressing among several others that form the ingredients of uniqueness in every districts will be highlighted on the D-day.
The deputy commissioners of respective districts will be intimated to select and send tableaux only adhering to the given themes. It was also decided to restrict the number of tableaux to 60.
Police commissioner K L Sudheer, DCP (crime and traffic) P Bheemaiah and other officials were present.
