Special trains from City to clear festival rush

The South Western Railways will run weekly special express trains between various destinations to clear extra rush in view of Dasara/Diwali festivals.

n Yeshwantpur-Jaipur: Yeshwantpur-Jaipur Weekly Garib Rath Express (06511) will leave Yeshwantpur on Sundays at 5.20 am and arrive in Jaipur at 4.15 am on Tuesdays from September 30 to November 25. On return, Jaipur-Yeshwantpur weekly Garib Rath Express Special (06512) will leave Jaipur at 3.30 pm on Tuesdays and arrive in Yeshwantpur on Thursdays from October 2 to November 27 .

The Garib Rath weekly express specials will pass through Birur, Davangere, Hubli, Gadag, Bijapur, Solapur, Pune, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Madar and Kishangarh.
n Yeshwantpur-Ernakulum: Yeshwantpur-Ernakulum weekly express special (06543) will leave Yeshwanthpur at 9.15 am on Mondays and reach Ernakulum at 9.30 pm on the same day from October 1 to November 26. The express special will pass through Banaswadi, Krishnarajapuram Bangarpet, Kuppam, Salem, Tiruppur, Podannur and Thrissur.

On return, Ernakulum-Yeshwantpur weekly express special (06544) will leave Ernakulum at 11.00 pm on Mondays and reach Yeshwantpur at 12 noon on Tuesdays from October 1 to November 26.

n Bangalore City-Patna:  Bangalore City-Patna Weekly Express Special (06513) will leave Bangalore at 10.10 am on Tuesdays and reach Patna at 9.50 am on Thursdays from September 25 to November 27.

On return, Patna-Bangalore City weekly express special (06514) will leave Patna at 8.10 pm on Thursdays and arrive in Bangalore at 9.00 pm on Saturdays from September 27 to November 29 .

The specials will pass through Cantonment, Katpadi, Chennai Central, Vijayawada, Nagpur, Betul, Itarsi Manikpur and Danapur.

n Hubli-Chennai: The special train (07314/07313) via Yeshwantpur is introduced from September 2 and operates from Hubli three days a week (on Sunday, Wednesday and Fridays). The train departs Hubli at 8.20 pm and arrives in Yeshwantpur at 5.15 am and departs Yeshwantpur at 5.30 am and reaches Chennai Central at 11.55 am. The last service from Hubli is on November 30.  On return, the train departs Chennai Central (on Monday, Thursday and Saturdays) at 2.10 pm and arrives in Yeshwantpur at 9.35 pm and departs Yeshwantpur at 9.55 pm and arrives in Hubli at 6.35 am, the next day. The last service from Chennai Central is on December 1.

n Bangalore City-Tirunelveli:
Bangalore City-Tirunelveli weekly express special (06515) will depart Bangalore City at 6.45 am on  Sundays and arrive in Tirunelveli at 7.30 pm the same day from September 23 to November 25 .

The special will pass through Cantonment, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Karur, Madurai, Satur and Kovlipatti. On return, (06516) Tirunelveli Bangalore City weekly express special will leave Tirunelveli at 10.55 am on Sundays and arrive in Bangalore at 12.50 a on Mondays from September 23 to November 25 .

n Bangalore City-Mysore: Mysore-Bangalore City daily express special train (06221) will leave Mysore at 8 am from October 1 to November 30 and arrive in Bangalore 11.15 am the same day. On return, Bangalore City-Mysore daily express special (06222) will leave Bangalore at 12.05 pm and arrive in Mysore at 3.40 pm.
