DAV makes Teacher's Day special

DAV Alumni Foundation celebrated Teacher’s Day on September 3, where the teachers were appreciated for their contribution in the field of teaching and imparting knowledge.

The awards were given to more than 150 former principals and teachers for their significant contribution in the life of students and alumni of DAV institutes in Delhi and NCR.

The traditional lighting of the lamp was followed by Swagatam – a group dance prese­n­ted by students of Hansraj Model School, Punjabi Bagh.

The Alumni awarded Teachers Appreciation Award to all DAV schools of West Delhi, North Delhi, East Delhi, South Delhi and Delhi NCR.

The awards were received by the principals of respective schools. After the success of the event, principal of DAV Hansraj was pleased to share her thoughts, “It was the first time that we organised such an event. We honoured all the teachers from all the branches.

Cultural performances marked the event and the idea was to mark the importance of this day. Certificate of appreciations and sashes was given to the teachers which was followed by a grand lunch.”

Various cultural performances were  presented by the students and alumni of DAV schools. Alumni of DAV Pitampura Sukanya performed on Made In India.

Some more presentations were made by the alumni of DAV Pushpanjali, students of DAV Srestha Vihar, DAV Rohini, bhangra by DAV Shalimar Bagh, lavani by DAV Vikas Puri etc.
Anita Wadhera, principal of DAV School Pitampura, said, “We were very happy to host the Teacher’s Day celebration at our school. It was a very happy occasion for all.”
