Bhagat Singh's birth anniversary commemorated

The celebrations also marked the beginning of the third phase of "Rozgar Prapti Muhimm (Movement to secure employment), a release stated here adding that several young men and women from all over Punjab gathered in the memorial complex.

The youth federations demanded the Government should provide employment to every unemployed by charting out a plan for the entire manpower available and youth above 18 should have the right to employment.

They also passed a resolution to limit the daily employment hours to six.
Jagrup Singh, Chief Advisor, "Rozgar Prapti Muhimm" while endorsing the second resolution demanded that the Punjab government must ensure equal wages for identical jobs, as the people employed on contract basis have neither job security nor do they get fair wages.

The third resolution demanded inclusion of free books, bus passes, medical aid and high quality diet. Fourth resolution passed in the rally demanded 33 per cent reservation for women in employment opportunities and also the wages paid to Asha and Anganwari workers should be commensurate with their work.

They also resolved that Central scheme should be effectively implement to extend maximum benefits to the down trodden section of the society.
