"The BJP government in the state which is anti-farmer, anti-poor, anti-doctors and corrupt, is under the influence of the RSS and has proved to be a failure on all counts", JDS leader, H D Kumaraswamy alleged here on Tuesday.

Criticising the BJP for holding its three-day conclave or 'Chintana Baithak' at the Suttur Mutt, near Mysore, he said "it could have opted to hold its meeting in villages instead." Addressing reporters here, he said the 16-month rule of the BJP has been a "total failure with no new developmental programmes chalked out". BJP government had "deceived" farmers by not providing free power. "It was not committed to the cause of farmers which was evident from the fact that the peasants were not allowed to express their views during a recent meeting in Vidhana Soudha," Kumaraswamy said.

The doctors in the state were forced to resort to agitation as the government had failed to address their demands. Doctors' strike was a serious issue in the state as it was facing several health problems including high rate of HIN1 cases. He alleged that Yeddyurappa was under stress as the Sangh Parivar was not allowing him to "exercise his powers" as the Chief Minister.
