Health services not affected in DK, Udupi

Last Updated 29 September 2009, 17:54 IST

District Health Officers Jagannath (DK) and Ramachandra Bairy (Udupi) informed Deccan Herald that the doctors in the district have resigned but at the same time they have decided to work until their resignation letters are accepted by the Government.
Hence there is no dearth of health services to the people in the districts and people will not face any inconvenience, they said.

While about 90 per cent of the doctors have submitted resignation in DK, 128 doctors have submitted their resignations in Udupi district.

It takes nearly three months for the Government to accept the resignation. However the entire issue may end up in some compromises.

Government may take some action to solve the matter. Currently there is no emergence of alternative measures in the district to plug the inconveniences created by the resignations of the doctors.

They are working and are available for patients.
