JOIN USUnion power minister and former Karnataka chief minister M Veerappa Moily’s daughter’s bag was stolen during her visit to Nizamuddin Dargah, police said on Saturday.
Hamsa Moily, a Bharatnatyam dancer who is also associated with theatre, went to visit the shrine on Thursday morning. When she was in the shrine, some unidentified miscreants took away her bag which was kept nearby while she offered prayer.
When Hamsa could not find her bag, which contained her Blackberry phone, she informed a police official over there and left for her home.
Police officials, meanwhile, checked the whole area and questioned several people present there. But they could not locate the bag and a case was registered with Hazrat Nizammuddin police station. Her phone number is under surveillance.
