Victoria Premier invites India businessmen to invest

During an interaction with members of the Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprise (ABLE) and NASSCOM, he said, "Our Government's focus on innovation, biotechnology and Information and Communications technology means that Victoria's two-way relationship with high tech Indian can only grow". Brumby who is in the city for two days is scheduled to meet Chairman of Wipro, Azim Premji, and with board members of Infosys, which recently announced an expansion of operations in Melbourne. Brumby met N S Narendra Chairman and MD of Firepro Systems to discuss the company's continued growth in Victoria.

Brumby said his meeting with leading technology firms were part of the governemnt's strategy to engage with India's leading technology firms. The Victorian Premier would meet Indian business representatives over the next two days here to discuss investment and trade opportunities with Victoria, facilitating the expansion of their global operations of these companies.
