Renault SCALA, which is a premium A3 segment sedan, is a logical progression for Renault India for further strengthening Renault product portfolio in the Indian car market. SCALA comes after Renault’s serial and successful launch of four vehicles; the premium saloon FLUENCE, luxury SUV KOLEOS, premium hatchback PULSE & the SUV DUSTER.
The Renault SCALA is an elegant and dynamic sedan made for India. It is just the right car with which Renault India can reinforce its presence in the A3 segment. The Renault SCALA defines Renault’s motto – “Drive the Change” and is a strong demonstration of Renault’s commitment to the Indian market. Loaded with features and powered by Renault’s most successful new generation 1.5 dCi (K9K) engine - the SCALA will stand for Renault’s iconic image of bringing Comfort, Convenience, Styling, Safety and Technology, all in one power packed offering with smart pricing. The Renault SCALA will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options.
For the diesel variant it will use the reliable and fuel efficient 1.5 K9K, dCi diesel engine delivering a powerful performance with 86PS@3750rpm as maximum power with a peak torque of 200Nm@2000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with a fuel efficiency of 21.64 Kmpl (ARAI figure).
The powerful petrol variant uses the 1.5 XH2 engine with a displacement of 1.5 litre. It produces a maximum power of 99PS@6000rpm with a peak torque of 134Nm@4000rpm.
