FIIs turn net buyers at Rs 1,049 cr

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) emerged net buyers of Rs 1,049.18 crore, as per the data by Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) here.

Of this, FIIs made gross purchases of Rs 3,764.11 crore, while gross sales totalled Rs 2,714.94 crore, it said. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) had bought shares worth Rs 2,252.17 crore on Monday taking their total investments to Rs 8,032.50 crore in past nine days.

Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) turned out net sellers of Rs 670.72 crore this day. They (DIIs) made gross purchases of Rs 1,506.03 crore, while gross sales totalled Rs 2,176.75 crore.

It may be noted that FIIs were net buyers of Rs 2,314.70 crore on September 17, 2012, according to data released by the market regulator Sebi this day. While FIIs made gross purchases of Rs 5,902.30 crore, gross sales totalled Rs 3,587.70 crore.

Mutual funds (MFs) were net sellers of Rs 487.30 crore on Monday as MFs made purchases of Rs 882.90 crore and sales of Rs 1,370.30 crore.
